During the recent switch-off of the Eiffel Tower's decorative lights, national consumption of energy fell by 1%.
Have you bought energy saving bulbs yet?
This was the new bulletin I read from Times online this evening.
"The world's top scientists have issued the direst warnings yet about the threat from climate change. After six years of research, they predict the average world temperature will rise by about three degrees by the end of the century - with potentially devastating consequences for melting ice caps and rising sea levels. They also make the strongest causal link so far between human behaviour and global warming."
The BBC also have an interesting report to read - link here.
Am i sounding like a broken record yet? I hope so, I really do.
If God is longing to reconcile "all things" to himself, where are you in your ministry of reconciliation? How would you encourage your friends, your family, your fellow Christians to understand creation's longing to be reconciled to its creator? Practically speaking what can you do to curb your energy waste? What would you be willing to do (not all of us can turn off the lights of the Eiffel Tower) next week to make one dent in helping the environment? Speak up and commit yourself to something here!
How about using public transport - just for one week? What about taking your own grocery bags (cloth for example) to the store for your shopping so you don't have to take more plastic bags?
