In our living room, sitting next to a couple of wooden candlestick holders lies two small cuttings (most likely of branches) of Cedar trees from Lebanon. The astute among you will know that Cedar trees are protected in Lebanon and that there is a massive reforestation project underway there and in Egypt. We got our small  cuttings as gifts. The story goes that you can only take cuttings of naturally fallen Cedar trees...
