Yesterday marked the beginning of a whole new era in the life of my wonderful husband, Mr. Phil Reilly, who has caught up with me to reach the ripe old age of 30! Some pics of the celebrations in the photo album on the right ...

Fun with the Family!

Sam's introduction to his family has continued over the past couple of weeks with the visit of Robin & Anita (pictured). We've been having a great time with them ... with a key highlight definitely being our stay at the Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino, courtesy of my very generous bro. Wowzers!  Will update the photo album with more pics soon ...

tenth avenue alliance update

This post will be brief in order to remain sensitive to the issue for all parties involved.

There were about 100 people at the meeting on Tuesday with representatives from the Church, community, city and police. The evening was chaired by Paddy Ducklow who apparently did a fantatstic job. At this stage it is very difficult to know how many people would be supportive of the ministries continuing if there were some modifications as it was clear that there was a fair bit of anger from some of the residents.

There will be another community meeting on the 28th of June.

prayer request - tenth avenue alliance ministries

This is just a quick note to those folks who either have a connection with Tenth Ave Church, or who we know we can count on for prayer!

Some of you will know that the Church is facing a pretty big challenge at the moment regarding its Out of the Cold and Oasis ministries – ministries through which people with very little (esp. the homeless) are given food and shelter and companionship.  Because of the nature of both of these ministries, and the people they bring into the neighbourhood, there have, unfortunately, been complaints recently from neighbours about these ministries.

Nothing quite compares to the pride felt by Phil today as he dressed his son for the first time in his very own Man Utd strip - courtesy of Jamesie T (you're crying already, aren't you JT?).  We just wanted to share the moment with you all.

boys are back in town

My wee bro has arrived back onto Canadian soil. He's here for the next couple of weeks.

I'm sure we're going to have a lot of fun together.

keith + donna = little mack!

Our good friends Keith & Donna welcomed their new baby girl, Sophie, into this world on June 2nd @ 8:59pm. Sophie weighed in at 7lbs 15oz. All are doing well.
